Senior Foreman - Sea Point, Cape TownWe are Ground Up Construction, a construction company based in the Sea Point Area and we are looking to grow our team!We are currently looking to urgently hire an experienced Senior Foreman on a contractual basis from the 14th of August 2023 for a duration of a 12 month contract with the possibility of extending.Requirements:Proven working experience in the construction industry with a minimum of 10 years experience.Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.Understanding all areas of the construction process.Ability to plan and see the "big picture".Competent in conflict and crisis management.Health & Safety skills.Leadership and human resources management skills.Excellent time and project management skills.Working knowledge of Civil, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering disciplines.Problem-solving skills with the ability to strategize.In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment and OHS guidelines.Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints.Excellent organizational and leadership skills.Strong communication skills.Good physical condition and stamina.Strong knowledge and skills with regards to concrete, setting out and formwork.Responsibilities:Planning, organizing, directing, controlling and evaluating construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget.Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.Planning and preparing construction schedules and milestones, and monitoring progress against established schedules.Developing and implementing quality control programs.Preparing progress reports and issuing progress schedules.Supervising the activities of subcontractors and subordinate staff.Analyze & mitigate risk.Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans.Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew.Allocate general and daily responsibilities.Ensure manpower and resources are adequate.Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met.Supervise the use of machinery and equipment.Resolve problems when they arise.Report on progress to managers, engineers etc.Qualifications/Experience:Higher education degree relating to the industry/environment.Proven track record as well as +10 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in the construction industry/environment.Must have own car and valid drivers license.Must have contactable references.Must have a portfolio of prior projects that you worked on.Salary between R40 000 - R50 000 depending on experience.Please note that should you not receive a response within 7 days of applying, you may consider your application unsuccessful.Contract length: 12 monthsApplication Deadline: 2023/08/10Expected Start Date: 2022/08/14Job Type: Full-timeSalary: R40,000.00 - R50,000.00 per monthAbility to commute/relocate:Sea Point, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Education:Certificate (Required)Experience:Senior Foreman: 10 years (Required)Language:English (Required)Application Deadline: 2023/08/31Expected Start Date: 2023/09/01
