You will be responsible for working closely with our client in the chicken processing business to address the issues that prevent them from achieving their optimum performance. Thus, utilising your experience, technical knowledge and the various FI methodologies to add real value to the client's bottom line. The position demands a hybrid profile: an analytically oriented individual with engineering roots, adept at data science elements, to scrutinise cross-departmental processes, unearth waste and losses, and spearhead enhancement initiatives. Minimum Requirements

• A minimum of a tertiary qualification (B.Eng., B.Tech) in a relevant field (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial)
• A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Focus Improvement Engineer, or Industrial Engineer
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in the food manufacturing, mining or FMCG industry is preferred.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma yellow. green, black Belt or any other manufacturing process optimisation, efficiency, or improvement background is advantegous
• Knowledge on AM standards (ISO5500, PAS55, GFMAM) is advantegous

• Execute Focused Improvement interventions to reduce waste, improve efficiencies and ultimately save the client as many costs as possible.
• Perform extensive data analysis, process mapping/modelling for optimisation and facilitate Root Cause Analysis (Defect Elimination)
• Build business cases and facilitate justification to initiate and implement improvement initiatives.
• Liase across departments to drive improvements.
• Monitor Equipment performance and reliability in order to identify and initiate Focused Improvement Activities.
• Review and continuously improve Work management and other processes across departments.
• Forster has relationships with all stakeholders and influences buy-in and change.
