Job Experience and skill

• Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)) qualification is essential.
• 2-3 years of post-articles experience, demonstrating a solid foundation in financial accounting and reporting.
• Previous experience within the mining industry is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proficient in financial software and systems, with advanced skills in MS Excel.
• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail, enabling accurate interpretation and presentation of financial data.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to consolidate financial data and provide valuable insights for strategic decision-making.
• Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and accruals.
• Play a pivotal role in the budgeting and forecasting processes, assisting in the preparation and analysis of financial plans.
• Provide guidance on accounting treatments for complex transactions and maintain a strong understanding of evolving accounting standards.
