Requirements:
Agricultural Qualification: A degree or diploma in agriculture or related field is highly desirable.
Extensive Experience: Proven experience (8+ years) in farm management, agricultural operations, and crop cultivation.
Leadership Skills: Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing farm teams effectively.
Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of modern farming practices, crop selection, irrigation systems, and pest control methods.
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges and optimize farm productivity.
Organisational Skills: Ability to plan, prioritise tasks, and manage resources efficiently.
Communication: Clear communication skills in English and Afrikaans, both written and verbal.
Passion for Sustainability: A commitment to sustainable farming practices and environmental conservation.

Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor farm staff, ensuring they adhere to best agricultural practices and safety protocols.
Crop Management: Oversee crop planning, planting, irrigation, and harvesting activities, ensuring optimal yields and quality.
Resource Allocation: Manage farm resources efficiently, including equipment, labor, and materials, to achieve production goals.
Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards for all farm produce.
Pest and Disease Management: Monitor crops for pests and diseases, implementing effective control measures to minimise damage.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of crop yields, expenses, and farm activities for reporting and analysis.
Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of the farm budget, optimizing resources for maximum efficiency.
Environmental Sustainability: Promote and implement sustainable farming practices, emphasizing conservation and eco-friendly initiatives.

Salary on offer for this role is R10,000 - R12,000 per month.
