Requirements:

Degree or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
At least ten years practical experience on operating mines and/ or in a project environment as an appointed engineer with engineering management experience.
Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) Mines and Works.
Construction, maintenance and engineering knowledge experience.
Contractor Management experience.
Underground experience
Shaft sinking knowledge and experience.
Professional registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
Operational Risk Management Programme (ORMP) training.

Responsibilities include:

Providing input and advising on construction issues pertaining to design, scheduling, cost saving measure and potential construction problems
Pursuing and driving the culture of zero harm
Lead and manage implementation of engineering deliverables
Provide technical leadership
People management
