Our client, a leading mining company in the Northern Cape, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mining, manage and coordinate all the site engineering services and project activities to ensure plant and equipment optimization, which includes but not limited to:Duties and Responsibilities

• Engineering services

• Contractor management

• Customer relationship management

• Budget management and control

• Asset management in area of responsibility

Desired Experience and Qualifications

• National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
• B.Degree / B.Tech (NQF Level 7) in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering will be an advantage

• Government Certificate of Competency (GCC)

• Minimum of eight (8) years operational engineering experience as an appointed Section Engineer

• Minimum of three (3) years operational project / middle management experience

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

• MS Office Suite - MS Word (basic user); MS Excel (intermediate user); MS PowerPoint (intermediate user); Discipline specific software and reporting tools (advanced user)

• Knowledge of internal project processes; beneficiation processes; maintenance processes; metallurgical processes

• Sound technical insight; Maintenance broad experience of heavy equipment

• Knowledge of all relevant Acts and legislation; Knowledge of ISO requirements

• Root cause analysis; Report writing; Problem solving; Trend analysis
