Village N Life is a leading Tourism and Hospitality company based in beautiful Camps Bay.

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Designer to join our dynamic Digital Marketing team. You will be responsible for the production department.

You will work in the versatile Hospitality industry, with many properties to market and design for, while meeting the specific commercial or promotional needs, such as packaging, displays and logos. You may use a variety of mediums to achieve artistic or decorative effects.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Matric
• Design diploma / certificate (advantageous)
• 3-4 years design experience
• Proficient in: Adobe Suite, ASANA and Mac Operating system
• Passion for design
• Creative thinking

Main duties and responsibilities

• Take ownership of the design and production department
• Generate and create crafted, visually pleasing and highly conceptual designs under pressure, at a fast pace and within the brand
• Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material, copy, select style and size of type.
• Mark up, paste and assemble final layouts to prepare layouts for printer
• Review final layouts and suggest improvements as needed.
• Develop graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos and websites.
• Ensure that design works convey the correct message or call to action
• Assist/oversee design/photography on websites
• Assist with management of the traffic email
• Take over management of the TCA office in the event that the office manager is not there
• Liaise with clients and suppliers to get artwork approved and processede
• Source new and fresh products and ideas to ensure our clients design stays on trend
• Follow up on installation and durability of items
• Assist with interior design projects
• Assist with conceptualising ideas and campaigns
• Stay up to date with industry trends
