Responsibilities:
As a Senior Decision Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in enabling Retail and Business Bank to minimize risks. Your responsibilities will encompass:

• Proposing strategic and tactical solutions through collaborative efforts involving data science and mathematical/statistical analysis.
• Quantifying risks and benefits associated with proposed solutions, empowering senior management with data-driven decision-making across the Risk Management department.
• Monitoring and reporting on the efficacy of business solutions, technological applications, and behavioral sciences.

Experience:

MINIMUM:

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in statistical/business analysis, reporting, and/or modeling.

Proficiency in:

• Extracting, aggregating, cleaning, and analyzing data from large relational databases.
• Devising strategies/solutions endorsed by organizational committees.
• Implementing approved strategies/solutions from a business perspective.
• Working with SQL/R/Python coding languages.

IDEAL:

• 5+ years of experience in statistical/business analysis, reporting, and/or modeling.
• Experience gained within the Financial Services sector.
• Familiarity with Risk Management processes and systems.
• Exposure to cloud-based data platforms.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM:

• Higher Diploma in Mathematics or Statistics.

IDEAL:

• Honours Degree in Mathematics or Statistics.

Knowledge:

MINIMUM:

• Data analytics expertise.
• Profound understanding of project management methodologies and IT implementation cycles.
• Technical proficiency in various front-end and back-end operating systems/databases and programming languages.
• General business acumen to identify technical issues' impact on solution design and delivery.
• Mastery of best practices and tools in data analysis.
• Skilled in interpreting user requirements and translating them into business requirement specifications.

IDEAL:

• Proficiency in Predictive Modeling and Machine Learning.
• Familiarity with Risk Management principles.
• Experience in the Risk Management environment/industry.

Skills:

• Strong analytical capabilities.
• Effective communication skills.
• Computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook).
• Aptitude for numerical reasoning.
• Confident presentation skills.
