Senior Database Administrator
Job Description
You will have approximately 8 years of experience as a Senior SQL DBA, with extensive experience in SQL Server Database Administration, database tuning, and performance optimization.
You should have strong database design and development skills, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and review SQL code using software version control systems.
You should also have a good understanding of Agile Software Development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
Experience with data warehouses, including methodologies and normalization levels, and with Microsoft SQL SSRS reporting services and Power BI would be a big plus.
You will be responsible for providing operational database services, including installing and configuring database systems, applying patches and security updates, and working with application development teams to design and review new or existing databases.
You'll also review performance statistics and recommend changes to tune databases, servers, storage configurations, and applications.
Additionally, you'll collaborate with vendors and internal support representatives to gather information and determine and implement resolutions.
