Our client is seeking a Senior Chef to oversee multiple stores across the Western Cape, ensuring high-quality food production, staff training, and operational excellence. Description

• Prepare authentic Thai cuisine and oversee kitchen operations across multiple stores.
• Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen teams to maintain high culinary standards.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and food quality regulations.
• Monitor kitchen setups, stock control, and overall food preparation processes.
• Troubleshoot operational challenges, report on store-specific issues, and implement solutions.

Minimum Requirements

• Culinary Qualification: A recognized culinary diploma or SA Chefs certificate is advantageous.
• Experience: 3-5 years in a senior kitchen role, preferably in Asian cuisine.
• Transport: Must have own reliable transport.
• Legal Work Status: Must be South African or have a valid work visa.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to train and develop kitchen teams.
• Thai cuisine experience is an advantage but not a prerequisitexe2x80x94full training will be provided.

Job Details:

• Work Schedule: 6 days per week. Leave as per the Labour Relations Act.
• Salary: Market-related and based on experience, including a fuel allowance as part of CTC.
• Meals: 1 meal per shift worked.
• Start Date: ASAP Permanent contract (includes a clause covering recruitment costs if the candidate leaves within 12 months).
