Job Description

An exciting opportunity for a Senior Chef de Partie to bring culinary leadership, creativity, and consistency to multiple dining outlets -- including a rooftop bar, bistro, and special event menus. You'll work in a boutique, guest-focused hotel environment, contributing to high-end culinary experiences across casual and fine dining settings.

Key Responsibilities

Take charge of your station(s) during service, ensuring each dish is delivered with precision, consistency, and flair Lead and mentor junior cooks, guiding them in prep, execution, plating, timing, and quality control Assist in menu development, specials, and seasonal updates, collaborating with senior chefs across food outlets Manage mise en place for your section, oversee ingredient prep, portioning, and mise orderliness Monitor inventory, ingredient quality and freshness for your section; control waste and portion costs Ensure strict compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and food safety protocols (HACCP or equivalent) Help coordinate kitchen flow during peak service -- lunch, dinner, rooftop bar service, event banquets Support receiving of deliveries, inspect goods, and ensure proper storage and rotation Liaise with front-of-house and event teams on menu execution, special requests, and plating design Participate in regular kitchen meetings, offer ideas for improvement, and contribute to problem-solving initiatives

Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum 4 years' experience, with at least 2 years as a Chef de Partie in a premium hotel or similar environment Proven track record of managing a section under pressure, maintaining high standards Excellent technical skills across hot, cold, grill, sauces or pastry stations Strong leadership and mentoring ability Knowledge of food costing, portion control, waste management, and menu planning Excellent plating, knife, timing, and presentation skills Familiar with standard food safety systems and practices Ability to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and during high-volume events Solution-oriented, proactive, and able to adapt to changing service demands * Good communication, teamwork and coordination skills
