We are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth and revenue expansion within the legal technology market. This role is responsible for utilising your strong understanding of the legal industry by incorporating it into a consultative selling approach. Generate leads, maintaining relationships, while achieving person sales targets.



The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of the legal industry, a strong commercial mindset, and a proven ability to build trusted, long-term client relationships in a fast-growing, technology-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities





Understand the legal industry and market segment, and integrate this knowledge into consultative selling. Demonstrate GhostPractice or similar legal industry specific applications to identified targets - primarily small to medium sized law firms. Generate leads through leveraging networking opportunities and direct contact with key prospects. Maintain relationships with material clients throughout the post-sale system implementation process. Collaborate with the internal Southern African Business Development team on developing and driving the sales strategy. Take responsibility for achieving personal sales targets and assisting the team to achieve the company wide targets Provide regular reporting to management on all sales activity. Research, develop and/or grow related markets with a view to selling GhostPractice or similar applications to targets in these markets. Maintain and build relationships within the legal industry and with related industry bodies. Build industry relationships to benefit the business, product and sales activities in related industries that work closely with the legal industry. Collaborate with the global Business Development team on global sales strategies and assist with the implementation thereof in Southern Africa. Cross sell other group products to both new and existing clients. Maintain knowledge of competitors in order to strategically position the company's products and services better. Participate in both internal and external marketing events and trade shows. Travel throughout Southern Africa as needed to understand the markets and drive sales activity. Test and provide feedback on new software releases. Report to the GhostPractice Head of Client Services with close input from, and collaboration with, the GhostPractice CEO.


Skills, Knowledge & Expertise





10+ years experience

either in legal practice management or with a legal practice management technology provider, Sales or customer relationship management experience is beneficial. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A tenacious and resilient nature. Highly organised and process driven. Be available to travel both domestically and internationally for group activities as required.
