Job Description
An ideal opportunity for a Senior Bookkeeper / Accountant who enjoys working in a stable environment with a dynamic team of 5. Be the right hand to the Group Financial Executive adding value with your skillset, experience and ability to be part of a small team.
Criteria:
- Matric with relevant accounting degree/certificate
- Relevant work experience in similar role
- Ability to work in the Southern Suburbs of Cape Town
- Team Player
- Ability to work well on your own - enjoy responsibility
- Ability to work under pressure in order to meet strict deadlines
- Have a strong entrepreneurial ability
- Assertive and forthright
- Highly computer literate - ADVANCED EXCEL
- ZERO experience and knowledge would be advantageous
- Strong communication skills - ability to solve problems
Prepare:
- Issuing invoices
- Preparing the month end accounts up to Management Accounts level
- Investigating variances to budget
- Overall reconciliation of the accounts to ensure that all costs and revenues have been accounted for
- Preparing monthly reconciliations for balance sheet accounts
- Releasing of payments in Bank
- Prepare for year end audit
- Preparing Cash management interest calculation
- Managing relevant areas of the annual budget
- Maintaining effective financial controls
- Contribution to the daily functioning of the finance team and its performance
- Assisting the Financial Executive with ad hoc assignments
