Closing Date: 2025-05-29Job Type: PermanentJob Level: SeniorExperience: Between 7 - 10 YearsEE/AA: YesSummaryWell established company based in Johannesburg is looking for a Senior BI Developer to join their team.Permanent position.DescriptionYou will perform duties focused on specific areas within the business, particularly relating to report development and maintenance, dashboard development and maintenance, quality assurance management, project data extractions and ad hoc extractions.You will require strong programming and problem-solving skills.Develop Data Marts using the Kimball methodology.Extensive development of SQL objects in SSIS / Azure Data Factory.Design and development of Tabular models on SQL Analysis Services.Use of Azure Devops for tasking and source control.Ability to quickly adapt to and embrace new technologies.Should have knowledge and understanding of all the relevant areas of IT: Programming, Development tools, Networks, Databases, Servers, Operating Systems, etc.Lead, manage quality assurance standards and implementation in the BI environment.Use initiative and sound judgement within established procedural guidelines.Work independently to analyze problems and implement solutions.Organize and prioritize the work schedule and handle multiple priorities.Minimum RequirementsDegree or advanced diploma (NQF Level 7 or greater) in Software Development/ Computer Science required.Minimum 7 years experience in MS SQL Server and MS SQL Server Integration Services. / ADFMust have extensive warehousing experience.Exposure to cloud platforms within the Microsoft stack advantageous.Must be able to interface and communicate effectively with all levels of users.Strong programming, problem solving and data analysis skills.Must be self-reliant and able to work independently.
