MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

As a Senior B2B Sales Manager in the telecommunications industry, you will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and maintaining strong client relationships. Your responsibilities will encompass sales strategy development, team leadership, and achieving sales targets within the business-to-business (B2B) segment of the telecommunications sector.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive B2B sales strategy aligned with the company's overall goals. This includes identifying target markets, understanding customer needs, and formulating effective sales tactics.

2. Team Leadership: Manage and lead a high-performing sales team. This involves setting clear objectives, providing coaching, and mentoring, and fostering a collaborative and motivated sales environment.

3. Revenue Generation: Drive sales growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, as well as maximizing revenue from existing clients. Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline.

4. Market Analysis: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics. Use this information to make informed decisions and adapt the sales strategy accordingly.

5. Client Relationships: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key clients. Ensure their needs are met and exceeded, and act as a trusted advisor on telecommunications solutions.

6. Sales Process Optimization: Continuously improve the sales process, including lead generation, qualification, proposal development, and closing deals. Implement best practices and sales tools to streamline operations.

7. Sales Reporting: Regularly report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management. Monitor KPIs and key metrics to track progress towards targets.

8. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure a seamless customer experience and alignment of strategies.

9. Compliance and Ethics: Ensure that all sales activities and practices adhere to legal and ethical standards, including regulatory compliance within the telecommunications industry.

10. Budget Management: Manage the sales budget effectively, allocating resources where they will have the most impact and optimizing the ROI on sales initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Matric
  • Degree/ Diploma is an added advantage
  • 2-3 years of experience as a Senior Sales Manager within a B2B Telecommunications environment
  • Proven track record of success in B2B sales within the telecommunications industry
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
  • In-depth knowledge of telecommunications products and services
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data and market trends
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Ability to read and understand statistical information
  • Ability to spot trends or patterns
  • Experience of driving high performance work culture
  • Experienced in management of cross departmental relationships Knowledge of good practice in relation to QA and coaching processes
