Senior Associate - Banking & Finance - Global Law Firm - Sandton
A position has become available with one of our clients, a Global Law firm based in Sandton for a Banking and Finance Senior Associate working with the partners in the Banking and Finance Practice Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting of agreements and corporate documents.
- Managing transactions (including cross-border transactions) and engaging with borrower and lender clients and local counsel in other jurisdiction.
- Researching and advising on all aspects of South African financial services legislation and contract law (as it applies to finance transactions).
- Attending independently to matters.
- Assisting with the training of junior team members and clients, on request.
- Participating actively in the team's business development initiatives.
- LLB or equivalent.
- Admitted as an attorney of the High Court.
- 3-5 Years post qualification experience.
- Experience in corporate and commercial work.
- Ability to draft agreements.
- Ability to manage work streams on multiple transactions.
- Ability to work within and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage own time effectively.
- Ability to delegate to and work with junior professionals.
