The successful candidate will take a leadership role in projects that promote innovation and investment in sustainable water and agricultural solutions, contributing to national and global green economy goals.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage cross-cutting projects in the water and sustainable agriculture sectors.Conduct high-quality market research, data analysis, and develop compelling business cases for green technologies and infrastructure.Identify and address barriers to investment and uptake of green solutions in water and agriculture.Support technology and service providers through intelligence dissemination, partnership facilitation, and stakeholder engagement.Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across government, private sector, and civil society.Provide strategic input to shape programme direction and contribute to broader green economy initiatives.Represent the organisation at forums, workshops, and industry events.Minimum RequirementsA postgraduate qualification, preferably at Masters level, in one of the following fields:
Agriculture, Engineering, Science, Economics, Finance, Resource Management, or Environmental SciencesMinimum of 4 years of relevant work experience, preferably within the agriculture or water sectors.Demonstrated experience in:Market analysis and industry researchBusiness case development and feasibility studiesProject management and reportingStakeholder engagement and facilitationSolid understanding of South Africas agriculture and/or water sector and its policy landscape.Existing network within the public and/or private stakeholders in these sectors is highly advantageous.Attributes and CompetenciesStrong analytical, research, and writing skillsAbility to think strategically and translate insights into actionable recommendationsSelf-starter with excellent time management and the ability to manage multiple projectsPassion for sustainability, impact-driven work, and supporting inclusive economic growthWhy Join This Team?This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact work in the green economy space, with access to diverse stakeholders and the ability to shape outcomes in two of South Africas most critical sectors.
