About the Role:

We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our growing remote finance team. This is a key role for an experienced professional with a strong foundation in US GAAP, hands-on experience with QuickBooks, and the ability to manage full-cycle accounting in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

As a Senior Accountant, you'll play an integral role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. If you're detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about driving financial excellence in a remote-first team--this role is for you.

Responsibilities:

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and assist in monthly and year-end close processes. Maintain and reconcile financial data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. accounting standards. Support accounts payable and receivable functions to ensure timely processing of transactions. Prepare reports, assist with tax filings, compliance documentation, and audit support. Partner with the Finance Director to streamline accounting workflows and optimize financial operations. Manage QuickBooks for daily entries, reconciliations, and reporting. Provide support on ad-hoc financial projects and administrative tasks related to finance.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP. Proven experience using QuickBooks in a professional setting (must-have). Preferred: Background in e-commerce or retail accounting (e.g. Shopify, Amazon, etc.). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret and communicate complex data clearly. Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment. Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively with global teams across time zones.
