Responsibilities: Prepare annual financial statements for companies, cc's, sole props, partnerships and trusts Verify accuracy and timeous completion of annual financial statements for audit requirements Assist with compiling audit pack sent to auditors prior to start of audit Update AFS with auditors comments as per auditors, partners, client requests, distribute timeously to auditors for sign off Stay abreast of latest changes in IFRS for SME's and relevant impact on financial reporting Capture, process, allocate and validate financial transactions, ensure it is complete and accurate with final year end adjustments Resolve general ledger recon queries, liaising with stakeholders to resolve queries and action desired outcomes Manage and train a small team and portfolio of clients Ad hoc duties Prepare and oversee complete advanced tax computations for companies, cc's, trusts and individuals Prepare and oversee complete tax returns for companies, cc's, trusts and individuals Assist with projects, reviews and audits of clients Act as client liasion for your portfolio Plan and complete work for the year, meet deadlines Work together with all role players in the business Requirements: Minimum of completed SAICA traineeship or similar Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in preparing financial statements in line with financial reporting standards Ubderstanding of international financial reporting standards and IFRS for SME's MSOffice proficient with strong Caseware / Caseview Must be a good team player, who is able to work well with limited supervision Excellent communication skills High attention to detail and accuracy Valid drivers license and own vehicle Please note that if you have not heard from us within 2 weeks of your application, please consider it as unsuccessful for this particular role.
