Job Description

My client is a dynamic and rapidly growing company committed to excellence and innovation. They are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This is a 4 month contract role based in Nigel.

Responsibilities:

Forecasting and Budgeting:

• Collaborate with Sales and Operation teams to prepare weekly forecasts.
• Assist the finance manager with the budget preparation process.

Accounts Receivable and Payable:

• Manage Trade Receivables.
• Oversee Local and Foreign Trade Payable.

Financial Management:

• Cashbook Management and Bank Reconciliations, including Credit cards.
• Foreign Currency Management (Payments, receipts & fluctuations).
• Process Inter-company Transactions, including Goods in Transit (GIT).

Financial Reporting:

• Summarize the current financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports.
• Analyze GL variance accounts and adjust costs where necessary.
• Responsible for all Balance Sheet Reconciliations on Blackline.

Special Financial Reports:

• Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.

Fixed Asset Management:

• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register.
• Handle CAPEX forms, financial depreciation, and Wear and Tear.

Month-end and Year-end Activities:

• Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.

Audit Assistance:

• Assist during External & Internal Audits.

Budgeting and Controls:

• Assist with the Annual Budget process.
• Help in maintaining accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.

Team Management:

• Plan, assign, and review staff's work.

Financial Analysis:

• Assist with analyzing financial information and summarizing financial status.

Qualifications and Experience Needed:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3 years' experience as an Accountant.
