My client is a large construction materials company that specializes in the production and supply of cement, aggregates, readymix concrete, and other related products. The company operates in several countries across Africa and has a significant presence in the construction industry.
The incumbent will be responsible for analysis and reporting (Including managing SARS requirements), preparing financial reports, constantly monitoring and reporting on all deviations from budget, ensuring timely and efficient processing of the month-end closing process, interacting with other departments to review and analyse departmental financial statements, reviewing all balance sheet accounts, monthly reconciliations and any journal entries that may be needed at month end, preparing the monthly pack for the unit, preparing, reviewing, and approving recons, calculating interest on long term loans and operational interest for forecast and budgeting purposes, preparing SARS documentation and information as required (VAT returns), completing and submitting Company corporate tax on One Source, and weekly cash flow management.
Qualification and Skills Required:
- BCom Accounting.
- 5-10 years experience as an Accountant.
- 3+ years' experience in the FMCG, manufacturing and retail.
