Job Description
A well-suited role for an experienced Senior Accountant with construction exposure and strong full-function accounting capability!
A reputable company in the construction sector is looking to appoint a skilled and reliable Senior Accountant to take ownership of the full finance function. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who is confident working from transactional level through to financial statements in a deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Full financial function (FFF) from GL to financial statements
- Monthly management accounts and reporting
- General ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and trial balance
- Preparation of financial statements
- Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
- Liaising with auditors and external stakeholders
- Supporting operational teams with financial insights
- Qualification: BCom
- Experience: 3-5 years' experience as a Senior Accountant
- Industry: Construction experience essential
- Systems: Buildsmart is a must
- Technical: Strong exposure to FFF (GL, recons, TB, up to FS)
