Job Summary
Qualifications required:
- Bachelorxe2x80x99s degree in accounting, financial management, similar fields of study.
- Honours or Post Graduate qualifications are advantageous.
- Completed articles is advantageous.
- 3 xe2x80x93 5 years experience in accounting.
- Industry experience: micro-finance / loans /lending industry is a requirement for this position
- Sound knowledge and experience with NCR and FSCA audits
- Sage One or Draftworx experience is beneficial.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
- Analytical thinker.
- Preparation of annual financial statements.
- Research and analyse accounting data to provide financial information to management.
- NCR and FSCA audits.
- Monthly reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly management accountants.
- Monthly and annual statutory SARS returns.
- Maintain financial security by adhering and complying to internal controls.
- Continuously update cashflows and budgets.
- Financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with financial legal requirements by staying up to date with existing and new legislation and advising management on necessary actions.
- Review reports and find ways to improve.
- Document financial transactions.
- Monitor financial status.
- Accounting policies and procedures.
