Senior Accountant
Job Description
Our well-established client in financial brokerage and asset management is looking to hire an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to add to their phenomenal team based in Umhlanga, Durban North.
You will oversee the full accounting function to trial balance, including drafting annual financial statements for companies, trusts, and sole proprietors. You will also provide advice on all tax and accounting matters, produce monthly management reports, and manage the full accounting and tax functions for client portfolios. You will also prepare and submit income tax returns for individuals and companies and VAT returns for sole proprietors, companies and trusts.
Education:
- Completed BCom Degree in Accounting non-negotiable
- A minimum of 5 years in an accounting role
- Completed and signed off SAICA/SAIPA Articles
- Proficiency in Pastel and CaseWare non-negotiable
- Strong knowledge in MS Packages
- Strong knowledge with Tax functions
- Excellent communication and written skills
- Assertive personality
- Strong managerial tendencies
- Detail Orientated
- Team player
- Can effectively cope under pressure
- Valid driver's license and own vehicle (you will be required to travel)
