Sea Freight Controller Experienced

Job Summary There is a Position available in Woodmead for an experienced Sea Freight Supervisor. Expected duties: Operational Oversight: Supervise and coordinate sea freight operations, including booking cargo, container loading, documentation, and customs clearance. Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the company's transportation management systems (TMS) or relevant software. Monitor vessel schedules, port activities, and shipping routes to optimize shipment planning and minimize delays. Stock management. Team Management: Lead and manage a team of sea freight coordinators, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring efficient workload distribution and adherence to deadlines. Customer Service: Act as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining strong customer relationships. Collaborate with customer service teams to provide accurate and timely updates to clients regarding shipment status and potential delays. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, import/export laws, and maritime safety standards. Verify and prepare necessary shipping documents, such as bills of lading, certificates of origin, and customs declarations. Cost Management: Monitor and control sea freight-related expenses, including freight rates, demurrage charges, and other associated costs. Identify cost-saving opportunities and more.
