Job Description

Our client in the banking space is urgently looking to hire a Scrum Master on a Contract Duration of 12 months. The contract may be may extend as per project demands and the candidate will be based at their office in Johannesburg (hybrid model).

Duties:

• Scheduling and facilitating scrum events, meetings, and decision-making processes.
• Training, mentoring and supporting scrum teams to follow agile values, principles, and practices.
• Determining and managing tasks, issues, risks, and action items.
• Monitoring progress and performance and helping teams to make improvements.
• Planning and organizing demos and product/system testing.
• Ensuring the proper use of collaborative processes and removing impediments for the scrum team.
• Tracking project processes, deliverables, and financials.
• Preparing and presenting status reports to stakeholders
• Leadership and management experience.
• Excellent people and project management skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Agile Methodology
• Scrum Framework
• Other Agile Approaches (Kanban, TDD, XP, Lean, etc.)
• In-depth understanding of the (SDLC )Software Development Lifecycle,
• Capabilities and limitations of the Architectural Runway
• Certified Scrum Master with overall 10+ Yrs of experience with 3 - 5+ years of exp in the role of Scrum Master.
• Working knowledge of agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks, such as Scrum/ Kanban/XP, to deliver solutions.
• Ability to coach the team on Agile Best Practices.
• Strong knowledge of Scrum theory, rules, Q and practices.
• Should possess knowledge about Agile techniques like: User Stories, Continuous Integration, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
• Knowledge about tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, user stories etc.
• Familiar with standard development practices, Service oriented environments, and Agile practices.
