ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
Good understanding of database management systems, such as MySQL or Oracle
Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
Strong communication and documentation skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders, peers, and management
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug, analyse, and troubleshoot backend issues
Knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends to propose innovative solutions and stay updated with the latest advancements
Ability to learn quickly, work independently, and be adaptable to changing project requirements and priorities
Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ to develop efficient and scalable backend solutions.
Understanding of Incident Management (IM), Change Management (CM), Problem Management (PM)
Familiarity with agile methodologies, software development life cycle, and version control tools like Git

ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
Expertise in system administration, server management, and cloud computing platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure
Understanding of Linux operating systems, including system configuration and administration
Proficiency in popular frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery to build responsive and visually appealing user interfaces
Knowledgeable in UI/UX design principles, accessibility standards, and responsive design to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces

WHICH QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE DO WE NEED FOR THE ROLE?
Postgraduate qualification in Information Systems, Information Science or Computer Science
Minimum of 6 months IT working experience (Advantageous)
Project Management experience and / or certification (Advantageous)

WHAT WILL BE YOUR ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES?
Handling Tickets and Tasks with the responsibility for closing the same within defined SLAs (Service Level Agreements)
Supporting SAP Basis operations for systems in scope to ensure compliance to the IT Internal Controls, under the supervision of a mentor
Support Feature Team in an Agile approach by proactively managing assigned User Story's in-line with the organisational Agile Working Model
Performing ticket duty services as and when required in-line with feature team requirements
Ensure systems compatibility with agreed AG strategies and standards
Responsible for troubleshooting issues on the OnPrem Lab environment
Interaction with clients through meetings, calls and emails
Measuring actual progress against planned objectives
Preparation of system/technical documentation (as per ISO standards), when required
Proactively propose solutions to improve the support of (new) business processes
Regular reporting on system status to ensure compliance with TMP targets
Review and present proposed system solution to Feature Team Lead and / or Sub Product Owner
Assisting with software upgrades and security patching on the OnPrem Lab environment
Collaborating with cross-functional teams and clients, communicating effectively with various stakeholders
Supporting with frontend design and development of the user interfaces for the SAPonRise customer portal
