EXPERIENCE: 6+ years ABAP experience (minimum 2 years WM)
COMMENCEMENT: 01 November 2025
LOCATION: Hybrid: Midrand/Menlyn/Rosslyn/Home Office rotation
Qualifications / Experience
  • BSc Computer Science degree or equivalent and relevant qualification from recognised South African university
  • SAP ABAP Certification
  • Minimum of 6 years ABAP experience, including minimum 2 years WM experience
  • Experience with EVEREST or similar SAP logistics applications advantageous
  • Agile/SCRUM working methodology experience (Mandatory)
  • Strong collaboration and cross-functional team experience

  • SAP WM Expertise including SAP Standard processes
  • Configure and customize SAP WM/EWM module experience, including master data, inventory management, and warehouse processes

Role Requirements
  • Design and develop complex SAP WM/EWM solutions to meet business requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements
  • Maintaining and optimising existing implemented warehouse management features
  • Perform system testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT)
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including functional specifications and user manuals
  • Support within the feature Go-Live preparation and post Go-Live activities such as hyper care
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to WM/EWM functionalities
  • Responsible for managing potential production incidents as part of the DEV team, including on-call duties approximately five times a year for 3rd level support
  • Interaction with IT and business stakeholders through meetings, calls and emails
  • Presenting concepts, specifications and implementations for IT and business stakeholders
  • Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and best practices in warehouse management
  • Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily standups
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback
  • Mentor and guide junior developers in best practices
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and tools
  • Document technical specifications and architectural decisions
  • Maintain compliance with enterprise security and governance standards
  • Update user stories in JIRA and maintain documentation in Confluence
  • Prepare comprehensive system/functional documentation and user manuals
  • Coordinate with external vendors and third-party integration partners
  • Ensure seamless handover capabilities with minimal transition requirements
  • Escalate deviations, blockers, and impediments to relevant leadership
  • Any additional responsibilities assigned as per the Agile Working Model Team Charter
