Qualifications & Experience Requirements

  • Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Human Resources, or related field
  • Certifications: ABAP/SAP/HANA certification advantageous
Core Technical Expertise (Mandatory)
  • SAP ABAP Skills: Strong focus on HR module development
  • Modern Integration: Knowledge of HTTP/Client, OData/Webservices technologies
  • Agile Framework: Exposure to Agile methodologies with routine use of JIRA/xRay/Confluence
  • Innovation Mindset: Eager to learn new technologies, especially AI tools
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and optimize processes
  • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate with HR teams and stakeholders to understand requirements and provide solutions
  • Agile Responsibilities: Additional duties as per Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter
Advantageous Skills Advanced SAP Knowledge
  • SAP HCM: Proficiency in SAP HCM (H4S4) data model
  • Database Systems: Experience with HANA databases
  • Modern UI Development: Exposure to SAP UI5/HTML5, Fiori
  • Classic Integration: Flat files and IDocs technologies
  • Form Generation: SAP Script, Smart Forms, or Adobe Forms experience
Key Responsibilities Development & Technical Excellence
  • Code Quality: Debug and troubleshoot ABAP code, resolving coding and performance issues
  • Program Development: Develop programs, function modules, and reports based on functional requirements
  • System Enhancement: Enhance standard SAP functionality using User Exits, BAdIs, and Enhancements
  • Integration Development: Create interfaces with different integration technologies (OData, ALE, file-based)
  • UI Design: Design UI elements with SAP GUI, Web-Dynpro, UI5/Fiori
  • Code Standards: Ensure clean, efficient, and maintainable code
Collaboration & Business Alignment
  • Cross-functional Work: Collaborate with functional consultants and stakeholders
  • Requirements Analysis: Understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Testing & Documentation: Create, execute, and document unit test cases for developments in JIRA
  • Technical Documentation: Document work in required formats (e.g., interface specifications)
  • Methodology Compliance: Follow agile working methodology
  • Query Management: Handle general queries from colleagues and stakeholders professionally and timely
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
  • Technology Adoption: Stay current with emerging technologies, particularly AI tools
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to team knowledge base and best practices
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure all developments meet quality standards and business requirements
