ESSENTIALS

Fabulous opportunity for a Sales Professional with a tertiary qualification PLUS Hons /MSc / PhD in Cell Biology, Bioprocessing or related, with >2y laboratory experience in mammalian tissue culture, + >1y sales experience highly preferred, outgoing with excellent presentation & communication skills. Valid drivers license, own vehicle, SA citizen.

Location: Cape Town

Are you a passionate Cell Biologist / Protein Biochemist with a flair for communicating new technologies and solving problems?

A well renowned South African distributor of high-quality instrumentation, consumables and solutions is recruiting for qualified individuals in an External Sales Specialist role in their Cell Culture & Protein Biochemistry division. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving business development and sales, by calling and visiting customers, developing relationships with key stakeholders, doing equipment demonstrations, providing after sales service and complying with company processes. If youre looking for a new external sales role and the opportunity to work and grow the business alongside a dynamic team, then this is the role for you!

Note that travel is integral to the position.

REQUIREMENTS

• BSc Hons / MSc / PhD in Cell Biology/Bioprocessing/Biochemistry or related discipline
• Independent laboratory experience (>2y) including mammalian cell culture
• Outstanding communication skills (English)
• Relevant experience in sales in the lab industry (>1 year highly preferred)
• Compelling Customer Service focus, strategic thinker, self-motivated, goal driven
• Professional personal presentation, ability to communicate with range of people
• Drivers license, own vehicle, willing to travel
• Valid SA ID
