Sales Representative/business Developer (ct)

Job Description
Minimum requirements for the role:
- Must have completed a National Senior Certificate
- Minimum 3 years external sales experience (new business development) is essential for this role
- Experience within the steel industry, with knowledge of mild steel (flat/plate/structural) would be ideal
- Good communication skills, specifically in English, with the ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders of all levels, will be required
- Must have a valid drivers license and be willing to travel within the assigned region
- Servicing existing and sourcing new customers.
- Reaching and exceeding set sales targets.
- Generating and providing quotes according to customer specifications.
- Ensuring a good and updated understanding of the product portfolio.
- Assisting with the coordination of deliveries.
- Building and maintaining relationships with customers.
- Increasing market share and the company footprint within the region.
- Offering technical advice and product information to customers with the aim to close deals.
- Following up on outstanding orders.
- Working closely with the sales team and reporting regularly to the Sales Manager.
- Liaising with various departments to ensure smooth delivery of orders.
