Job Description

Sales Leadership and Customer Service

Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth. Lead and motivate the telesales teams to meet and exceed performance goals. Build strong customer relationships, resolve complaints efficiently, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Ensure discounts and customer-specific pricing are correctly applied in the system.

Customer Database and Debtor Management

Build and maintain an up-to-date customer database with complete, accurate information. Monitor debtor buying patterns weekly to prevent loss of business and encourage growth. Develop and manage a smaller customer database for targeted sales strategies. Ensure ordering procedures are followed and controlled.

Marketing, Promotions, and Supplier Relations

Distribute marketing materials and ensure promotional visibility in-store. Analyse market trends, customer behaviour, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities. Ensure supplier displays/ ends are set up, priced correctly and neat. Liase with suppliers

Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Proficiency in stock management and retail operations Exceptional customer service and sales skills Ability to perform under pressure and meet operational deadlines Computer literacy, especially with retail management systems (e.g., Cobsolv)

Qualifications and Skills:

Proven experience in sales management, preferably in a Wholesale and retail environment catering to mid to lower-income markets. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Sound knowledge of inventory management principles, sales techniques, and marketing strategies. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and make data-driven decisions.

Education and Experience:

Previous experience in a sales role within the Wholesale or retail industry. Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets, driving business growth, and improving operational efficiency.
