NQF Level 4 Qualification.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
As a Sales Promoter Learner, you will spend
75% of your time in on-the-job training
within a local SPAR Retail outlet:
Product Promotion:
Actively promote and sell
SuperCard
financial products to grocery retail customers.
Customer Engagement:
Serve as the primary point of contact, educating customers on the benefits and features of the products.
Sales Targets:
Work toward achieving weekly and monthly sales targets.
Retail Operations:
Assist with basic retail operations as part of your training.
Formal Training:
Dedicate
25% of your time
to formal training (on-site or online) in Retail Supervision and Operations.

Requirements
Education:
Must have successfully completed
Matric (Grade 12)
within the
last 5 years.
Location:
Must currently reside close to a local
SPAR Retail outlet.
Attitude:
Strong
willingness to learn
and a demonstrable
positive demeanour.
Interest:
A genuine interest in
Commerce, Retail, Sales, Financial Products
and
Software/Technology.

The Qualification
The
NQF Level 4 Retail Supervision and Operations
qualification, certified by W&RSETA, is designed to elevate retail staff into supervisory roles. It provides learners with skills necessary for effective
team leadership
and maintaining high
operational standards
in a retail environment. The curriculum focuses on a blend of core competencies to ensure graduates are ready to manage a team and the floor efficiently.
Curriculum High-Level Focus:
Supervision & Team Leadership:
Training in
motivating, supervising, and monitoring
the performance of retail staff.
Retail Operations & Loss Control:
Learning to
implement and maintain operational procedures
, including
stock management
and supervising
loss control measures
to minimise shrinkage.
Customer Service Excellence:
Focusing on setting, evaluating, and supervising high
customer service standards
and effectively resolving complaints.
Financial & Legal Basics:
Understanding and applying
basic budgetary and financial requirements
and adhering to key
labour legislation
and safety acts.
Total NQF Credits:
100 - 120
