Job Description

DUTIES:




Research market trends to identify end-user needs, work with sales teams to introduce and sell products Maintain, manage, and report on competitor intelligence identifying opportunities and threats and make recommendations to take advantage or mitigate risk Identify relevant features and product applications that will appeal to targeted customers Determine and communicate the standard configurations, specifications, and available options for product/s Manage and maintain relevant databases with product support information Establish price positioning, in line with individual product strategies Work with marketing team to develop and continuously improve marketing campaigns for each product, communicating value of products, applications, and services Design, develop, plan, implement promotional activities including product launches & customer open days Acts as product specialist, providing guidance and product knowledge and performance advice on products and their application, to sales teams and customers Develop material, and train sales teams on products and their applications Participate in, and give input to, quarterly business reviews Participate in industry forums, maintaining knowledge and exerting influence Liaise with OEM and curate product content such as case studies, videos, website copy, blog posts, etc, that are relevant to targeted customers Gain insights into customer use of current products, untapped opportunities, and buyer persona Engage and share information with Aftermarket team to enable support of existing/new products Monitor, manage, and report on product marketing budget (allocated by OEM) Remain abreast of industry innovations and new marketing techniques





REQUIREMENTS:




Matric or equivalent Earth Moving Equipment Trade will be advantageous 3 - 5 years' experience on Earthmoving Equipment products or its applications. Industry knowledge and competator landscape Market Analysis (forecasting) Report Writing and Data Analyzing Training and Presentation skills Stakeholder Relationship Management Price Competitiveness (Cost & sale) Results Orientation Commercial Effectiveness Conflict Management Sales and Financial Acumen Analytical thinking





ADMINISTRATION:




Ensure accurate recordkeeping Prepare and submit accurate reports, in the agreed format, on time Ensure compliance with standard operating policies and procedures (including quality controls)
