Sales Manager (UPS & Backup Power) - Sandton - R35,000-R40,000 (Negotiable)

A Sales Manager in the UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) and Backup Power Systems industry plays a critical role in driving revenue and ensuring the successful sale of UPS and backup power solutions to various customers and businesses. Must possess strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Technically proficient and have a deep understanding of the products, as well as the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing technological landscape.

  • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy and plan for UPS and backup power systems in line with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitors to identify opportunities for growth and product improvement.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while actively seeking new potential customers. Understand their power needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Sales Team Management: If applicable, lead and manage a team of sales representatives, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to achieve sales targets.
  • Product Knowledge: Possess in-depth knowledge of the UPS and backup power systems, including their technical specifications, features, and benefits.
  • Sales Presentations: Deliver persuasive sales presentations and proposals to customers, highlighting the value and benefits of the company's products and services.
  • Quoting and Pricing: Prepare accurate quotes and pricing proposals for customers, ensuring competitiveness while maintaining profitability.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions of sales agreements, contracts, and service-level agreements with customers.
  • Sales Forecasting: Maintain accurate sales forecasts and report on sales performance to senior management.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, including technical support, engineering, and customer service, to ensure seamless customer experience and product delivery.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understand technical aspects of UPS and backup power systems to address customer inquiries and concerns effectively.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all sales activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
  • Customer Support: Provide ongoing support to customers, addressing any post-sales issues, questions, or concerns to maintain customer satisfaction.
