We're looking for an experienced On-Trade Sales Manager, based in our Cape Town office, who will be responsible for leading regional sales performance, implementing Edwards Snell's On-Trade strategy, and driving value and volume growth across the channel. The role focuses on managing and developing the On-Trade team, ensuring strong brand execution, identifying market opportunities, and maintaining high value relationships with trade partners.
QUALIFICATION
Bachelor's degree qualification in Marketing, Sales or a related field
A valid driver's license
EXPERIENCE
5 years' experience in a similar position, demonstrating effective team leadership and performance management
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
Sound track record in a Sales Management role
Demonstrated expertise in the On-Premise environment, with a clear understanding of channel dynamics and opportunities.
Demonstrated ability to professionally develop, coach and motivate teams
Focused goal driven individual
Must have excellent communication skills
Problem solving skills
Exceptional negotiation skills
Ability to build positive working relationships
Willing to work overtime and weekends, engaging with trade partners and staff events etc.
Possesses strong administrative skills, ensuring accuracy, organisation, and efficient workflow management.
Must be self-motivated, assertive and results-driven
Able to interpret and analyse data to support decision-making, including proficiency in TrueData and QlikView
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Cascade Edwards Snell's On-Trade strategy and objectives to the channel
Brand performance by channel and outlet
Ensure that value and volume is a key driver of all activities
Identify availability and volume opportunities
Achieve minimum execution standards and regional market share targets
Management and development of the On-Trade team
Ensure the On-Trade team are living our core values, that they are aware of the company's strategic priorities and how they are contributing to achieving them
Design and implement innovative regional promotions and ensure the correct implementation of national promotions
Manage return on investment of promotions
Ensure that all discounts offered fall within the parameters of the quality discount and strategic schedule
Communicate all credit risks & irregularities in trade to National Head of On-Trade
100% market penetration as per regional KPIs
Compile weekly and monthly reports
Work closely cross functionally with the regional field sales team to deliver regional goals
Ensure effective interaction with the telesales team
Demonstrates the capability to cultivate, maintain, and strategically manage high-value relationships with trade partners to drive mutual growth with
On-Trade customers, IRD partners and ORD partners
