SUMMARY:
A leading luxury lodge in the Magaliesberg region is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to drive visibility, guest engagement, and revenue growth across its diverse hospitality offerings. This includes Corporate, Leisure, Weddings, Day Visits, and Heritage Museum experiences.
This role is ideal for a proactive, strategic thinker who excels in stakeholder engagement, marketing execution, and guest relations. As a live-in position, the successful candidate will be immersed in the day-to-day experience of a prestigious lodge, ensuring brand alignment across all touchpoints.
POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Stakeholder Engagement:
Negotiate STO and FIT rates, build partnerships with tour operators, OTAs, and corporates, and represent the lodge at trade shows and client-facing events. * Marketing & Media Management:
Develop and brief content, manage media placement (digital and print), liaise with media partners, and oversee social media and promotional campaigns. * Public Relations & Guest Engagement:
Respond to guest feedback, maintain consistent brand messaging, manage PR content, and coordinate mailers and newsletters. * Event Coordination:
Support and attend weddings, conferences, golf days, and corporate functions. Conduct welcome briefings and site inspections for visiting groups and agents. * Reporting & Analysis:
Compile and interpret marketing reports, track guest origin data, maintain databases, and contribute to the annual marketing strategy and budget planning. * Collateral & Content Oversight:
Ensure all rate sheets, signage, flyers, promotional materials, and OTA listings are accurate and up to date. Source promotional gifts for events and inspections. * Liaison with External Partners:
Collaborate with outsourced marketing teams to align messaging, review deliverables, and maintain consistency in representation across platforms.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Minimum 4 years of sales experience in the
or tourism sector, preferably within a lodge or boutique hotel environment * Strong background in campaign management, content creation, and sales negotiation
  • Experience with conference sales and group bookings highly advantageous
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled in multitasking, project management, and marketing administration
  • Able to manage budgets, negotiate with partners, and oversee multiple campaign channels
  • Willing and able to live on-site and work occasional weekends and evenings as needed
