Sales Manager (Architectural and Construction) - Cape Town.
Are you an experienced Sales Manager managing internal & external sales representatives that call on professionals like architects, designers, construction companies within the Residential and Commercial Sector?
This is a pivotal role in driving growth, building strong client relationships, and supporting the success of the sales and customer service team.
A hands-on role for a strong Manager who drives for results, has a track record of achieving sales targets by coaching, guiding and empowering a team to perform at their best.
Salary: Market related basic salary plus override commission on sales.
Requirements:
Matric or similar secondary qualification
Experience in a similar role
Min 5 years experience in a management role
Manage, mentor and increase skills of sales employees
Ability to achieve the growth required by the sales team
Understand the customer requirements and expectations
Experience working with products similar to tiles, counter tops, vanities, wall claddings, tables etc.
Experience managing staff in a showroom environment and managing external sales representatives calling on professionals like architects, designers, construction companies within the Residential and Commercial Sector
Duties and Responsibilities:
Managing the external sales team and the customer service team
Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team
Problem solving with sales team on customer issues, factory issues and performance issues
Maximize team potential by assisting and coaching, as well as conducting performance reviews
Assist with the customer service figures and manage the overall sales figures
Overseeing the activities and performance of sales team
Assisting in opening doors where possible
Recruiting for external sales team and customer service
Understand the ideal customers and their needs
Building and promoting strong, long-lasting relationships for repeat business opportunities
Extensive liaison with the factory and marketing team
Implement a strategic plan that expands the company's customer base, and ensures the best presence in the marketplace
Identify improvement areas for the team and arrange relevant and ongoing trainings
Be the leader and sounding board for the team
