Reporting to CEO/ Managing Director Main Purpose of Job: Directs and assumes responsibility for the management of the administration of sales, marketing, purchasing, stock control and personnel of the regional branch. Key Outcomes: SALES AND MARKETING: 1.Ensure that product offerings meet the changing needs of the market. 2.Ensure optimum market related pricing levels applied. 3.Responsible for increasing market share through effective sales management and enhanced customer satisfaction. 4.Responsible for the effective technical marketing of company product. 5.Responsible for branch administration 6.Direct the overall logistics process to meet customer and company short and long term requirements MAIN KEY OUTCOMES: Investigate and develop opportunities for new products and services, new markets, expansion of existing products and markets. Identify and introduce new customers. Maintain good relationships with customers. Ensure strict debtors control ENSURE OPTIMUM PRICING LEVELS Co-ordinate regular market pricing surveys. Measure Companys market share RESPONSIBLE FOR INCREASING MARKET SHARE: Formulates, in conjunction with National Sales Manager, short, medium and lon/g-term sales targets and objectives. Responsible for full market coverage in the designated area allocated to your branch. Measure sales and set objectives in line with departmental budgets. Direct the sales force in line with set objectives. Provide constant feedback to the National Sales Manager on activities and opposition activities. Submit updated sales forecast on a monthly basis to National Sales Manager. Monitor sales performance against pre-determined targets. Investigate all product complaints and take appropriate action. Ensure all client requirements are met timeously Liaise with Quality departments of external customers regarding quality related matters, concerns, and complaints. Co-ordinate customer satisfaction surveys. Implement plans to meet and / or exceed customer expectations. Responsible for distribution of sales promotion and advertising material in order to enhance company and product visibility RESPONSIBLE FOR THE EFFECTIVE TECHNICAL MARKETING OF THE COMPANY'S PRODUCTS: Develop, implement and maintain electronic catalogue, including new product development and supporting information. Develop, implement, and control product range development with special reference to Indian product. Organise and conduct technical presentations / shows to customers and prospects. Review and improve technical presentation content and application. Develop, enhance and distribute technical support data to all relevant parties. Assist customers with product information and applications RESPONSIBLE FOR BRANCH ADMINISTRATION Directs the day-to-day functioning of the total administration requirements of the branch by supervising relevant clerical staff and authorising all purchase requisitions, petty cash, credit notes, travel requisitions and invoices from creditors in line with designated limits of authority. Liaise with Accounts department with regard to outstanding debtors payments and customer account queries and directs collections. Ensures that branch administration and facilities meet legislated requirements and that staff health and physical well being is safeguarded Ensure that security standards are maintained, all assets are secured and adequately insured Review business plan at least on a semi-annual basis. Ensure that department achieves goals set in the business plan. Ensure staff files are kept up to date DIRECT OVERALL LOGISTICS TO MEET CUSTOMER AND COMPANY REQUIREMENTS: Ensure efficient physical movement of stock from head office to the branches. Maximize freight loads while minimizing costs. Ensure efficient use of transportation resources while meeting the needs of both internal and external customers. Develop, implement and maintain a formal logistics/transportation strategy Manage and control the security of the warehouse Have knowledge of the key occupational safety and hazardous materials handling standards Identify and implement proper packing and labelling methods for transportation of hazardous materials. Oversee inspection of incoming materials, ensuring that they meet necessary requirements. Manage and oversee the quality of products manufactured in the branch. Oversee product recalls and the warranty claims process Monitor the accuracy and inspection/calibration of monitoring and measuring devices Key Reports to EXCO: Sales and Market Report --Monthly. Sales Forecast Monthly Marketing Plan -- Annual. Stock Summary/ Requirements
Matric Commercial /Technical Qualification 5 years in sales and marketing 8 years in technical sales(Battery/Solar) Electrical background in AC/DC
