Job Description

A company in the IT industry situated in Randburg is looking for a Sales Intern

Role Purpose



Support the sales team in lead generation and appointment setting while gaining hands-on experience in the sales cycle, CRM tools, and client engagement strategies.

Responsibilities



Core Functions:



Assist in lead generation through research, calls, and social media outreach.

Schedule appointments for Sales Representatives.

Maintain and update CRM with lead details.

Support follow-up communication with prospects.

Learning & Development:



Shadow Sales Representatives during client meetings.

Gain exposure to proposal preparation and negotiation basics.

Participate in product and sales training sessions.

Skills & Qualifications



Education: Matric (Grade 12) plus Diploma or currently enrolled in a degree program in Marketing, Business, or related field from a recognized South African institution.

Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy (MS Office, email).

Behavioral Competencies: Eagerness to learn, positive attitude, and adaptability.

Performance Metrics

Research and add 30 new leads per week to CRM.

Book 10 qualified meetings per week for the Sales Rep.

Maintain 100% accuracy in lead data entry.

Complete onboarding and product training within 2 weeks.

Participate in 2 shadow sessions per month.

Job Type: Internship
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: R6000,00 - R6500,00 per month

Work Location: In person
