Minimum Requirements
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales engineering, preferably in the solar or renewable energy industry.
SKILLS:
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of solar energy systems, including photovoltaic (PV) technology, inverters, and energy storage solutions.
Sales Skills: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets, with strong negotiation and closing skills.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and propose innovative solutions.
Software Proficiency: Familiarity with design and simulation software such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, or similar tools.
Duties and Responsibilities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the solar energy sector.
Develop and maintain relationships with potential clients, including commercial and industrial customers.
Work closely with customers to understand their energy needs and provide technical solutions that meet those requirements.
Design and propose customized solar energy systems, including sizing, layout, and performance analysis.
Prepare detailed technical proposals, including cost estimates, return on investment (ROI) calculations, and system performance projections.
Manage the entire sales process from initial contact to contract negotiation and closing.
Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, procurement, and project management, to ensure smooth project delivery.
Provide ongoing technical support and troubleshooting for clients throughout the sales process.
Educate customers on the benefits of solar energy, including environmental impact, cost savings, and energy independence.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements in solar energy.
