Sales Engineer - Packaging AUTOMATION (MUST HAVE completed Mechanical Engineering or Similar Degree) - KZN
My client, a global industry leader in the design & manufacture of end-of-line packaging automation equipment & solutions, is urgently seeking a Sales Engineer.
They are looking for a sales engineer who is a tenacious and personable person capable of finding and delivering solutions to their current client base, as well as source new business opportunities.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering
• At least 2 years experience in a similar role
• Experience in an engineering solutions sales role and a passion for innovation
• Strong Communication skills
• A customer focused mindset
• The ability to self-manage
• Tech savvy, curious & solution orientated, with a infectious positive can do attitude and a strong commitment to honesty & integrity
• Experience in mentoring others and project management skills is a definite plus.
• Work in a multi-disciplined team environment
• Excellent time management
• Might levels of motivation
• Strong attention to detail
• Work under pressure and set timelines
• Willing to travel nationally & internationally (valid passport)
• Valid unendorsed South African drivers license
• Own reliable transport

Duties and Responsibilities
The following constitute the main duties and responsibilities of the Sales Engineer role

• AS a Sales Engineer you'll play a pivotal role in creating relationships with clients
• Provide innovative solutions to prospects & clients whilst driving the company's brand
• Creating presentations & quotations, managing the sales pipeline end to end
• Mentoring new team members
• Working alongside the design department to formulate projects that best suit the clients requirements.
• Act as the liaison between the design team(s) and the Sales team(s) to achieve optimal results and formulate client presentations as part of the service offering.
• Liaise directly with the client(s) as and when needed to communicate the scope, expectations, delivery / installation timelines etc.
• Actively contribute to building & maintaining of a continuous improvement environment & ongoing functional activity.
• Provide remote and / or onsite support as and when required as part of the sales function within the role
• Align in the design & functioning of the new equipment
• Attend frequent, formal meetings with the electrical, design & mechanical teams to ensure that the outputs continually satisfy the design goals & requirements.
• Planning & scheduling meetings or workshops as needed for improvements & co-ordinate with the electrical, design & maintenance teams as needed.
