Train and develop the Production Team in line with identified gaps in capability and required succession planning.
Develop & use SOPs & OPLs to train production team members.
Ensure compliance with EHS and TMC regulations and guidelines to uphold quality expectations of customer and company
Manage workforce planning to ensure proper staffing levels to maintain productivity (i.e., order readiness, customer specs, speed trails, etc.)
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and monitor all control procedures, recommending improvements to the Production Manager as appropriate
Maximise yield; OEE; TE; EHS and minimise unplanned stops, breakdowns and HERCAs through continuous improvement methods, technology, equipment and materials and partnership with key stakeholders.
Lead 5s Improvement Projects
Lead investigation of stock variances
Complete Qks and SHEAROs timeously
Update Overtime tracker and overtime file on daily basis
Update housekeeping tracker on weekly basis
Liaising with different departments to ensure efficient flow of production e.g. Maintenance, Warehouse, Procurement, Process & Quality control
Is this job for you?
The ideal candidate must have completed an Engineering or Operations Diploma. This role requires someone who has three to five years' experience in a managerial role in a continuous process manufacturing environment. At least 3 years' experience working in a WCM environment. This person must be computer literate and have experience with working on SAP.

This role will be responsible for managing and coordinating direct reports and manufacturing activities, utilizing systems knowledge of product function, WCM methodology, procedures and machine and equipment capabilities. This role will require an assertive individual with excellent supervisory & interpersonal skills as well as good communication and presentation skills.
