Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Metallurgical Engineering (or studying toward one).
8-10 years' experience in the mining industry with strong understanding of operational structures and communication channels.
Solid knowledge of mineral processing, from extraction through to waste management.
Proven experience in sales of mechanical equipment within the mining sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Service, maintain, and grow the mining customer base across Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East, and Africa.
Achieve and exceed regional and personal sales targets.
Promote and market specialized slurry pumping products, providing product awareness and training to customers, staff, and dealers.
Conduct customer visits to present products, demonstrate capabilities, and assist with on-site troubleshooting and system upgrades.
Provide continuous technical support and training, using pump selection software and other specialized tools.
Manage and grow sales of products, including new product introductions, pump trials, materials, and aftermarket spares; perform site audits to track installed base.
Support dealers to expand market share through technical sales support, training, and regular client engagement.
Gather market intelligence on competitors and trends to inform business strategies.
Maintain accurate customer, project, and tender information in internal systems.
Collaborate with internal teams, project engineers, and key account managers on upcoming mining projects and accounts.
Prepare high-level technical reports, documents, and briefings within deadlines.
Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies.
Update work instructions and documentation as needed.
