Large industrial manufacturer seeks a Sales Engineer to join their sales team in the Gauteng region. EE Candidates Required.

Purpose:
To act as liaison between the company sales team and clients, providing information, service, maintenance, and repairs related to purchased equipment.

Requirements:

• Min 3 yearsxe2x80x99 sales experience in the industrial sector (essential)
• Min, 2 years experience in manufacturing/ process environment (essential)
• Experience with technical products and or have mechanical exposure.
• Matric pass with mechanical/technical drawing subjects (NQF 4/5 (preferable) )
• Post matric technical slant NQF 6-7 level (ideal)
• Mechanical / process theory exposure (preferable)
• Knowledge of the Syspro System and or a similar ERP system
• Microsoft Office literate
• Valid Driverxe2x80x99s Licence

Duties include:

• Identifying and acquiring business with current and new customers
• Maintain and grow existing customer base through cross selling and up selling including the correct package concept
• Preparing technical and project proposals and quotations for customers when required
• Producing proposals and product presentations to create awareness
• Providing a high level of technical support to customers, including pre-sales and post-sales support
• Maintaining and developing a culture of excellence relating to customer sales and service
• Maintain an up to date pipeline of prospects in accordance with company procedures
• Managing internal and external technical enquiries and project proposals
• Compiling technical documents and competitive quotations for tenders
• Adhering to all commercial and technical details of tenders, and project proposals
• Selecting products and applying best practice principals to offer solutions
• Manage product pricing and communicate price increases as they occur
• Providing customer product training when required
• Development of products, including identifying and implementing new applications and markets
• Achieve if not exceed monthly sales targets
