First Point Group is working exclusively with a leading Telco Software organisation based in South Africa and is supporting them in their search for a Sales Director.
This exciting opportunity is a Remote working model with the ideal candidate already based in South Africa.
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Sales Professional with a minimum of 10 years of dedicated experience in the Telecommunications Industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background, particularly in selling OSS & BSS solutions, encompassing CRM, Billing, Charging, PCRF, SON, and related offerings.
In addition to telecommunications expertise, the candidate should possess a deep understanding of Network Architectures, including the latest advancements in LTE and 5G technologies. Proficiency in responding to RFPs and RFQs is crucial, as is a proven ability to secure significant deals valued at USD 1 million and above.
This role is inherently proactive and requires a "Hunter" mentality, focusing on the acquisition of new clients and business opportunities from the ground up. Effective communication skills are essential, allowing the candidate to engage with Senior and C-level executives throughout the Sales cycle.
The successful candidate will be responsible for building a robust sales pipeline and demonstrating confidence and proficiency in managing the complete Sales cycle, from initial prospecting to final deal closure.
Job Requirements:
- Demonstrated expertise in Senior Sales positions within the Telecommunications sector.
- Strong background in selling OSS & BSS solutions, with a focus on CRM, Billing, Charging, PCRF, SON, and related technologies.
- Comprehensive understanding of Network Architectures, including LTE and 5G technologies.
- Proficiency in crafting and completing RFPs (Request for Proposals) and RFQs (Request for Quotations).
- Proven track record of successfully closing large, complex deals valued at USD 1 million and above.
- Possess a tenacious "Hunter" mentality, with an emphasis on new business development (no account farming involved).
- Effective communication skills, enabling engagement with Senior and C-level management throughout the entire sales cycle.
- Capable of building a robust sales pipeline and confidently managing the full Sales cycle, from prospecting to deal closure.
