As the Sales Director you will be responsible for directing all sales activities within Tsebo Cleaning and Hygiene Solutions ensuring the year on year sales growth for the business. In addition to the growth the role holds overall responsibility for the Business Development Management team ensuring all client accounts are managed effectively and proactively, achievement of annual targets, building relationships and understanding customer trends. You will focus on developing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans instilling a culture of high performance. Successful execution of these strategies are required to achieve the agreed to financial targets in addition to understanding customer trends and the business of Tsebo as a group.

Duties & Responsibilities Key responsibilities would include:

  • Setting revenue targets for the company and setting key performance indicators.
  • Managing the team of Business Development Managers and ensuring performance against KPI's.
  • Presenting sales results to the Cleaning Board and Tsebo Group Sales and Marketing office.
  • Strategic solutions selling initiatives and implementation across the South Africa and neighboring countries where applicable
  • Implementing sales cross selling strategies across the company and monitoring effectiveness.
  • Keeping a close eye on the sales activities of competitors and utilising ideas where appropriate.
  • Overseeing performance management of under-performing sales staff.
  • Working closely with the national accounts team in order to secure large accounts.
  • Implementing a variety of new business initiatives to drive sales.
  • Ensuring the organisation has an effective sales training programme.
  • Working with members of the board on budgeting and planning.
  • Negotiating agreements for contracts with customers and ensuring commerciality.
  • Implementing an effective sales pipeline and lead tracking process.
  • Ensuring the CRM is being used effectively and provides a competitive advantage.
  • Implementing best practice in sales techniques throughout the department
  • Proactively drive change to increase market, conversion ratios (currently 10-15%) and share of wallet
As the Sales Director you will work closely with the appointed Business Development Managers and Chief Sales and Marketing Officer to have an enabling culture that fosters results in performance and growth.
Skills and Competencies xe2x80xa2 Extensive C-Suite interaction and relationship development.
  • Ability to craft solutions selling of self and the team
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools.
  • Experience in executing a broad range of Strategic sales and marketing activities within a B2B environment
  • Project management proficiency: ability to manage multiple tasks to conclusion, according to deadlines and without
compromise to quality of work output.
  • Learning Agility and adaptability to rapid environmental changes
  • Strong leadership skills, to create and share vision with the Sales team
  • Sound commercial acumen
  • Well-developed emotional intelligence.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; superior communication skills; excellent written skill; influential presentation and public speaking
ability.
Qualifications EDUCATION/QUALIFICATION
  • Tertiary qualification preferable
EXPERIENCE
  • 10-15 years' experience in a Sales and Sales Leadership role selling complex B2B solutions
  • Proven track record of experience with clients, sales (performance to budget and target including profitability and growth) and
sales
team leadership/management
  • Engaging and working with executive and management teams across multiple entities and geographies
