The Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive and ambitious Sales Development Representative (SDR) to be the engine of our client's sales pipeline. This is a crucial, full-time remote role for a professional based in South Africa who is passionate about sales and thrives in a performance-driven environment.
You will be responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, building the foundation for new client relationships, and directly contributing to the company's growth. Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Lead Generation:
Proactively identify and qualify potential clients through a mix of outbound activities, including cold calling, email campaigns, and social media outreach (primarily LinkedIn).
Conduct research to identify key decision-makers and companies that fit our client's ideal customer profile.
Appointment Setting:
Engage with prospects to understand their needs and effectively communicate our client's value proposition.
Schedule qualified meetings and product demonstrations for the senior sales team.
CRM & Pipeline Management:
Meticulously track all prospecting activities, notes, and outcomes in the company CRM (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
Maintain a clean and organized sales pipeline to ensure a seamless handoff to the sales team.
Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with the sales and marketing teams to align on target personas and outreach strategies.
Participate in regular coaching and training sessions to continuously refine your sales skills.
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
1-3+ years of experience in a Sales Development (SDR), Business Development (BDR), or a similar outbound sales role, preferably in a B2B environment.
Exceptional English communication skills (both written and verbal) with a clear, professional, and easily understood accent.
A proven track record of meeting or exceeding monthly and quarterly targets for qualified leads or meetings booked.
The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively in a fully remote environment.
A resilient and self-motivated attitude, with the ability to handle rejection and maintain a positive mindset.
Comfortable working US business hours.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with modern sales tools, such as CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot), sales engagement platforms (SalesLoft, Outreach), and prospecting tools.
