Sales Development Representative - Mergers & Acquisitions
Location: South Africa (Remote/Hybrid)
Salary: USD $15,000 per month (United States Dollars)
Schedule: 9 AM to 6 PM United States Central Time, Monday through Friday. Please ensure you can work in this time zone.

Role Overview
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will play a front-line role in engaging business owners and executives who are considering a transaction. Unlike traditional prospecting-heavy sales roles, this position focuses on building trust, articulating our firm's value proposition, and positioning our team as the partner of choice for their M&A journey. You will be the first point of contact for potential clients and will set the tone for a successful long-term relationship.
Key Responsibilities
Engage with prospective clients directly through scheduled calls and inbound inquiries, introducing our firm and understanding their strategic objectives.
Communicate our value clearly by explaining how we help family-owned businesses achieve optimal outcomes in the sell-side process.
Qualify opportunities thoughtfully, ensuring that business owners are a strong fit for our firm's transaction criteria.
Build confidence and trust with business owners by highlighting our track record, process expertise, and client-first philosophy.
Handle objections, review client financials, and aim to close the prospect using our proven process.
Coordinate seamlessly with senior bankers, ensuring that every qualified client receives a smooth and professional handoff.
Maintain relationship insights and engagement notes in CRM systems to support efficient follow-up and deal progression.
Requirements
(Preferred) Finance experience or Sell-Side M&A investment banking experience.
Must have: Demonstrated success in consultative sales or business development.
(Preferred) Background in investment banking with direct exposure to sell-side transactions.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex M&A processes for business owners.
Independent, self-driven, and comfortable in a client-facing advisory role.
Based in South Africa with a professional home office setup.
Compensation
Competitive salary: $15,000 USD per month
