A leading manufacturer and distributor of decorative accessories and cabinetry hardware within the retail and manufacturing segments of the office, kitchen, furniture and shop fitting industry invite applications of a suitably qualified and experienced candidate for the position of
External Sales Consultant.
The incumbent will resort under the Western Cape region based in Stikland, Cape Town.
Overview:
The incumbent will be responsible for;
Sales and marketing of products to clients in the manufacturing and/or retail segments of the office, kitchen, furniture and shop fitting industry.
The achievement of monthly sales targets, growth of sales and expanding the client base.
Providing outstanding customer service and sales support as well as sound product advice.
Determining client needs, creating client focused sales plans, implementing and executing targeted sales initiatives, promoting and customizing the sales of a "product basket".
Building and maintaining sound customer relationships including providing technical product advice.
Daily /weekly/monthly reporting and maintaining sales administration.
Minimum requirements
Gr 12 supported by an applicable qualification and/or proven sales experience.
3 - 5 years applicable experience in an external sales position in the manufacturing and home improvement (hardware & decorative accessories) retail market.
Knowledge of and experience in the office, kitchen, furniture and shop fitting industry will be an advantage.
Proven track record based on sound knowledge of and application of sales skills in the formal and informal manufacturing and retail market segments.
Sound technical acumen in understanding product functionality and applications.
Proven track record in the achievement of sales targets, grow sales and increase active client base.
Developing, nurturing and maintaining excellent client relationships and service.
Ability to develop, implement and drive client-based sales plans and initiatives.
Good planning and organizing skills.
Computer literate with good applied skills in MS Excel and MS Word.
Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans with excellent communication skills.
Own vehicle and hold an accredited and valid South African driver`s license (E/EB).
Highly self-disciplined with the ability to work independently.
Passion for sales, energetic, results driven, resilient, self-disciplined, ethical conduct.
Remuneration:
Basic salary with commission and allowances related to the sales function.
Car allowance, Fuel allocation ( Fuel card, cell phone contract)
